Financial aid is available for all direct education costs and for personal living expenses. In order to be considered for both federal and Michigan State funds, you must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Michigan State will use this information to determine a “financial package” for you. Michigan State will seek to meet the financial need of all applicants, provided funds are available. Pay close attention to deadlines!

Office of Financial Aid Short Term Loans (http://finaid.msu.edu/msuloans.asp)
Through the Office of Financial Aid, MSU provides funds for low interest (7% per year) Short Term Loans. Loans are usually granted in amounts up to $450 for students who are registered for the current semester and who can demonstrate the ability to repay within 60 days.
