The Student Assistant position gives undergraduate students who are taking summer classes a chance to be a part of the AOP team. The staff has a variety of job responsibilities including: student and parent check-in, student check-out, assisting students with computer enrollment, test proctoring, assisting with student walking tours, supervising student evening activities (including sports, help room, or karaoke) and other duties. We require that students who want to take summer classes DO NOT enroll for classes scheduled between 8:00am and 12:00 pm. This is the time when AOP schedules most of its employees. Other hours are available from 1:00pm – 11:00pm. Students must be available for work during both Summer Session I and Summer Session II. The Student Assistant staff is required to attend multiple training sessions in May and June.
“Working for AOP is one of the best jobs I have ever had! I met so many fun people, both new and returning students! The staff was so energetic and helpful! Also, I was able to spread my love and spirit for my school to the newest class to MSU!” – Alexa, Student Assistant Staff
