Orientation Travel Information (Two Day Programs)
Are you planning to drive yourself to Orientation? Are you planning on riding with your family/caregiver(s) and being dropped off at Orientation? See the instructions for both to help you navigate your check-in and check-out process!
Students Driving Themselves
We would recommend arriving to campus between 8:00 am and 8:30 am on your scheduled Orientation date. Students can park in Lot 89, one of our commuter lots at the intersection of Farm Lane and Mount Hope. Students are able to leave their cars there while at orientation and overnight (for two day programs) without additional parking passes or permits. The last shuttle transporting students to Snyder-Phillips will be leaving the parking lot at 9:30 am.
Once you have parked your vehicle, bring your belongings with you and look for the CATA Bus Stop Shelter and Orientation staff in the middle area of the parking lot. We will have bus shuttles running to Snyder-Phillips Hall where the New Student Orientation is held. We estimate that the check-in process, from parking lot to the last step of check-in, takes approximately 45 minutes.
For check-out at the end of orientation, after you have collected your belongings and returned your keys/access card, you can get on our shuttle bus at the location where you were dropped off for check-in. The last shuttle will leave Snyder-Phillips at 12:00 pm.
Students Being Dropped Off
We would recommend arriving to campus between 8:45 am and 9:30 am on your scheduled Orientation date. You will be dropped off outside Phillips Hall which is located on Auditorium Road. Follow the green and white Orientation directional signs to get to the drop-off location.
For check-out, your family/caregiver(s) can pick you up in the loop outside of Snyder Hall which is located on Bogue Street. Check-out will be from 10:00 am – 11:00 am. Follow the green and white Orientation directional signs to get to the pick-up location.
