Work for Orientation

Are you a current MSU student interested in working for the New Student Orientation (NSO)? We welcome any student to fill out an application as we explore future open positions within the New Student Orientation office. This is a great opportunity to engage with prospective students, families, and supporters as they navigate through the orientation experience and transition into the MSU community.

A group of students sit on bleachers. They are all wearing different colored shirts and smiling at the camera. The students in the front are holding two 3D printed Spartan Helmets, one green and one white.

NSO is hiring Spartan Leaders for August 2025!

Spartan Leaders (SLs) are responsible for administering a successful New Student Orientation (NSO) and welcoming new Spartans and their families from diverse backgrounds and experiences. Spartan Leaders work to create an inclusive environment that enhances the growth, development, and empowerment of incoming Spartans and their families.

Spartan Leaders will be part of an in-person program format that will take place during mid- to late August 2025. This program will occur before the start of fall semester and includes events like Sparty Gras, New Student Kickoff, and more.
