NSO Virtual Engagement
Michigan State University’s New Student Orientation (NSO) is designed as a hybrid experience, combining virtual content with an in-person component just before the semester begins. Students, families, and supporters can expect to engage with NSO virtually in the months leading up to the semester, so we have developed a range of online resources to stay connected with MSU.
We are excited to introduce several virtual engagement opportunities, including the NSO podcast series titled Spartan Orientation Station, live and recorded webinars covering essential topics, and active NSO social media platforms. These resources are designed to help build community, offer real-time information, and provide guidance throughout your transition to the MSU community.
Please continue reading below for schedules of live webinars, links to recorded sessions, individual podcast episodes, and our social media content. These tools are here to enhance your orientation experience and ensure a smooth start to your Spartan journey.
NSO Podcasts - 'Spartan Orientation Station'
Throughout the summer, students, families, and supporters will have access to pre-recorded podcasts designed to highlight key resources and important topics at Michigan State University. In partnership with MSU’s Impact 89FM radio station, the podcast series, titled Spartan Orientation Station, will be hosted by current MSU students and feature various campus partners discussing their services and support.
Recently released episodes are sent to students, families, and supporters via the bi-weekly NSO newsletters. All episodes will be released at 12 pm EST.
