Checkpoint 4: Virtual Engagement

Connect with NSO Virtually!

Michigan State University’s New Student Orientation (NSO) will consist of a hybrid of virtual content and an in-person experience right before the semester begins. Because students, families and supporters will be engaging virtually with NSO throughout the summer, we have created many online resources to better connect with MSU.

We are excited to introduce you to the NSO podcast series titled ‘Spartan Orientation Station,’ our Date with State virtual social events, Help Room events, and NSO Social Media. Please continue reading below for the podcast schedule, links to listen to individual podcasts within the series, and our social media content.

NSO Podcasts - 'Spartan Orientation Station'

During the year, students, families, and supporters will have access to pre-recorded podcasts to highlight important topics and resources at MSU. In collaboration with the MSU’s Impact 89FM radio station, these NSO podcasts titled ‘Spartan Orientation Station’ will be hosted by current MSU students and will incorporate various campus partners to discuss their resources and support. Engaging new students, families, and supporters with MSU resources and specific people and departments is important leading up to the beginning of classes, so we are excited to share these episodic podcasts with students, families and supporters.

Recently released episodes are sent to students, families, and supporters via the bi-weekly NSO newsletters. A schedule of podcast topics and release dates for Summer 2024 is coming soon! Check out our previously released episodes while you wait.
